Paused my am run to chat w/ a very nice homeless man about his beautiful pit bull puppy “Gypsy Rose Lee” who he rescued from a dumpster in Texas. We sang “Let me entertain you” together, talked about vaccinations, and laughed… Amazing how the love of dogs will connect anyone. Sadly, I had to beg him to get her spayed… offering free spay resources… As he explained that he plans to breed her to make money for a train ticket to Santa Cruz. I did my best to explain all the reasons why he should not breed her, and offered suggestions on getting back on his feet. Not sure if I made a difference, but all you can do is try… My heart is heavy for them both. #dogs #rescue #homeless (at Pacific Coast Highway - Hwy 1)
